What Do I Need to Book A Medical Appointment Online?
All you need is a device with access to Wi-Fi or mobile data and a stable internet connection. Most devices will already have a camera and speaker installed on them; these are both essential when attending your online appointment.
In terms of different devices, you can use the Google Chrome web browser on any Mac, PC or Android tablet to access Instant Consult. The web browser, however, is incompatible with iPhones, iPads and Android phones, so you must download the Instant Consult app on such devices. What Should I Do If I Have an Emergency?

Use Our Doctor Appointment Online App to Book your Medical Appointment
Depending on your hardware, there are several ways to access the Instant Consult service. If you are using a Windows PC, MacOS or an Android Tablet you can use the Google Chrome browser and connect via patient.instantconsult.com.au.
If you’re using a smartphone, the best way to secure your appointment is to use our doctor appointment online app which we’ve developed for both Android and iOS. Whichever method you choose to use, you are going to need access to a webcam or video, a microphone and speakers as all our consultations take place via a video link.
Please be aware that you need to register with us to use the service. While we can accept registrations from patients of any age, if the patient is under 17 years of age, a parent or guardian must give permission for the consultation and should be present throughout. Every patient, regardless of age, must have their own account.
Timely and Affordable Doctor Consultations Online
You will find that the cost of our online consultations compares favourably with those of private practices. The cost is calculated from the time that you make the connection with a doctor, please check out our pricing page for more info.
Once your consultation is over and you have received the medical advice and/or documentation that you need, we will take your payment. There’s no need to pay upfront. For patients under 12 months of age who has valid Medicare cover, it may be possible to bulk bill if you are eligible. If deemed clinically appropriate medical certificates can be issued and will be accessible in your Instant Consult Inbox. An online doctor prescription can either be sent on to a selected pharmacy for collection or they can be posted out to you.
