Award-Winning Telemedicine Service in Australia
If you are looking for a telemedicine service that is accessible and affordable, then Instant Consult can help. We offer a platform that allows you to connect via video to a fully qualified telemedicine doctor on your schedule.
Our online telemedicine service is available 365 days a year, between 6am and midnight – so whenever you need medical advice, you can Request a Consult and connect to one of our highly qualified online GPs – each a Fellow of the RACGP and the ACCRM.
Our service is 100% online, which means that you can connect with an online GP from anywhere in Australia – from the city to the outback. All you need is an internet connection (via Wi-Fi or data), and video calling capabilities to get knowledgeable help and advice as well as clinically appropriate online scripts, medical certificates, and requests.
We have helped over 170,000 Australians like you get access to the medical help that they need through our online telemedicine service – and all you need to get started is to create an account with us.

Accessible Telemedicine Doctors with Instant Consult App
As you can use this service anywhere in Australia, it is designed to be a supplementary service for more traditional healthcare options. However, with no appointments needed and connection to a highly qualified telemedicine doctor within 15 minutes, it can be much quicker and easier than getting an appointment at your usual practice.
To use Instant Consult telemedicine mobile app, you need to make a Patient Account. If you are 17 or over, you can create your own account; those under 17 also need their own account but must have a parent/guardian present during the consultation. Once you have filled out the details needed and given your debit/credit card information, you will then be able to press the Request a Consult button. This will automatically connect you to the next available online doctor, in less than 15 minutes.
As soon as your consultation begins, your session is automatically timed. We charge for the length of time a consultation takes, and for a standard consult, we are less costly than a ‘standard’ visit to a private GP practice, please check out our pricing page for more info.
If the doctor agrees to issue you an ePrescription, a digital token will be sent directly to your email or by SMS to your mobile after your consultation. Go to your nearest pharmacy and present your ePrescription to have your medication dispensed. Alternatively, you can order your medication online at Chemist Warehouse and have it delivered to your door. All other documents will be available in your Instant Consult inbox.
Your nominated debit or credit card will then be charged according to the time taken. We also offer bulk billing with a valid Medicare card for eligible patients.

Telemedicine vs. Telehealth
Telemedicine refers specifically to the practice of diagnosing and treating patients remotely through technology, such as video calls or online consultations. Telehealth is a broader term that encompasses telemedicine but also includes other remote healthcare services, like patient education, monitoring, and administrative tasks. Essentially, telemedicine is a subset of telehealth, focusing solely on clinical services.
